Terms of sale

The short version: we confirm fit before taking payment, we make it properly, and if we got a confirmed fit wrong we fix it at our cost.

How an order is formed

Listings on this site are an invitation to enquire, not an offer capable of acceptance — there is no cart, and nothing is sold automatically. A contract is formed only when we confirm your order by email, stating the piece, the size, the fabric and the total price.

Made to order

Every garment is cut individually once your order is confirmed. Current lead time is three to four weeks; if it will be longer we say so before taking payment. Fabric availability can change between enquiry and confirmation, since much of what we use comes from remnant lots.

Fit

We confirm fit against the sculpt name or the measurements you supply.

  • If we confirmed a fit and the piece does not fit, we alter or remake it at our cost, including postage both ways.
  • If the measurements supplied were not those of the doll the piece was ordered for, we will still alter it where physically possible, charged at cost.
  • Where we declined to confirm a fit and you asked us to proceed anyway, alterations are chargeable.

Right of withdrawal

For consumers in the EU, the Consumer Rights Directive gives a fourteen-day right of withdrawal on distance sales — but it does not apply to goods made to the consumer's specification or clearly personalised. Most of what we make falls into that exception, and we would rather state it plainly here than bury it.

In practice we go further than the law requires. If a piece arrives and you are not happy with it, tell us within fourteen days. Where it can be resold as stock we will accept a return in unused condition and refund the item price. Where it was cut to your specification and cannot be resold, we will offer alteration instead. Return postage is yours except where the fault is ours.

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer under Polish or EU law, including rights in respect of goods that are faulty or not as described.

Faults

If a seam fails, a closure gives way, or a fabric behaves in a way it should not, tell us. Manufacturing faults are repaired or remade at our cost for two years from delivery, which is the statutory conformity period. Wear from handling and play is not a fault.

Staining and resin

Dyed fabric in prolonged contact with resin can transfer colour. Everything we sell is pre-washed and colour-tested, and dark pieces are lined where they meet resin — see sizes & fit. We cannot accept liability for staining arising from a doll being stored dressed for extended periods, or from garments not supplied by us.

Resin yellowing is caused by UV exposure and is not something a garment causes or prevents.

Prices, payment and shipping

Prices are shown in Polish złoty and include Polish VAT where applicable. Payment is by bank transfer or PayPal invoice once the order is confirmed. Shipping is quoted per order. Customers outside the EU are responsible for import duty and handling fees; parcels are declared at their true value.

Intellectual property

Patterns, photographs and text on this site belong to Bobbincourt. You are welcome to photograph pieces you have bought and post them anywhere you like, with or without credit. Please do not reproduce our patterns for commercial sale, or reuse our product photography to sell other goods.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by Polish law. Nothing here deprives a consumer of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence. Disputes may be brought before the competent Polish courts, and EU consumers may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
